What is FotN?
Forest of the North is a fanmade mod that expands the DDLC universe with an original story, immersive visuals and music.
Shortly after the school festival, Monika along with Sayori, Yuri and Natsuki were inexplicably pulled from their own dimension into yours and you’ve been given a role far greater than you ever imagined. As their first friend and a guide, it’s up to you to help them find their way home.
Joined by your friend Daniel, an amateur scientist obsessed with the mysteries, of a local eerie forest, you decide to uncover the truth behind their arrival. Step by step, as you delve deeper into the forest’s secrets, strange phenomena begins to surface. Reality glitches, lights and shadows flicker, as the line between what’s real and imagined starts to fade, signs of something different, born from the dimension crossing chaos, emerge.

Girls managed to pull off quite a successful festival just by themselves. After that they decide to celebrate a long week of preparations by going to a local firework show.
Right when it was about to end, one of the fireworks seemed to get just a bit too close… or that’s what they thought. It doesn’t explain why they’ve ended up in a forest.

In „Forest of the North” you play as this handsome 20 years old guy on the right. You’ve lived your whole life in a small town named Evane, in a modest house located just by a large forest known by locals as place of no return.
There is a legend about this place, one that tries to imply a sense of dread and send a warning. Yet its source remains unknown to this day and you have better things to do with your time than being afraid of some ghost stories. You love your morning coffee, it helps you stay in focus even though you know that caffeine doesn’t affect you the same way it used to. You believe in self improvement and you cherish time spent just by yourself.
Your biggest fear is losing your only friend, which you have grown apart from throughout recent years.
…And spiders, you hate spiders.

He’s the most determined guy you know, also your only real friend. Lately his fascination with the North Forest started to consume him, you just wish he could live a little.
Daniel has been studying North Forest for several years now. He had some small achievements here and there, nothing revolutionary yet, but now he’s so focused on uncovering its secrets that you barely even see each other. You worry that his weird hobby will ruin you friendship.
Despite this growing distance, upon Monika and her friends arrival he’s the first person you to looking for help
